The ICC Chief Executive says the 2007 ICC World Cup mistakes are behind them and one should look forward to the 2010 ICC World Twenty20.
The last time a major ICC event was held in the Caribbean, it was a monumental disaster. Not only did the tournament drag on to complicate matters but also, the local flavour was conspicuously absent.
However, Haroon Lorgat says those mistakes will not be repeated, “Pricing of tickets was a concern for us in the last two editions of the Twenty20 World Cup. We found out that tickets were not accessible to the locals. So this time we have kept the prices of tickets low keeping in mind that the West Indian community is not so big.”
Fingers crossed for the much anticipated third edition of the tournament.
