The status quo remains which means there will be no UDRS for the India New Zealand series.
Notwithstanding the umpiring decisions that bordered on the dubious on more than one occasion, the BCCI through N. Srinivasan, suggested that the BCCI had not changed their mind about not employing the Umpire Decision Review System.
Several glaring errors could have possibly been avoided through the use of the UDRS in Mohali during the first Test of the India Australia series. However, the Indian cricket board has been reluctant to use the system citing costs and even recently going as far as suggesting that the UDRS was not an affordable proposition for all boards.
The ICC has been, in the meantime, contemplating the use of the system for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.
