The IPL organisers are taking no chances with Bangalore for the IPL 3 semi finals, even as the Bangalore police appear to be fuming.
The IPL 3 semi finals were originally scheduled to be played in Bangalore’s Chinnaswamy stadium. But after two low intensity bombs went off outside the stadium’s outer wall on Saturday, the IPL 3 governing council did not want to risk the safety of players, so said Lalit Modi, the IPL Chairman and Commissioner.
Modi announced in view of the events, the IPL 3 semi finals would be shifted to the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Mumbai, also the venue for the third place playoffs as well as the IPL 3 final.
