Cricket Australia are counting on Brett Lee’s experience while including him in Australia’s squad for the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 in the Caribbean.
Lee, who is currently recuperating from an elbow injury that required surgery and has only turned up to play for the Kings XI Punjab in the 2010 IPL 3, is part of the squad that includes both, David and Mike Hussey, two wicket keepers in Brad Haddin and Tim Paine besides the Twenty20 specialist, David Warner.
Cameron White would have liked to have been Australia’s Twenty20 captain but will have to settle for the vice captaincy as Michael Clarke will take up the role as he spends time in New Zealand getting over his failed relationship with Lara Bingle.
Mitchell Johnson, Shaun Tait and Dirk Nannes make up the fast bowling trio while Nathan Hauritz makes up the spin spot and Shane Watson has been handed the official all rounder’s role.
