The BCCI is fuming. They feel that the Indians players affiliated to the IPL team have no business seeking medical treatment without their permission.
Ashish Nehra has not even gone off the blocks in the 2010 IPL 3 and Gautam Gambhir suffered a strained hamstring and the Delhi Daredevils have allowed them to travel to Sri Lanka to get Ayurvedic treatment for their recovery.
The decision has however ticked off the BCCI because they feel that these contracted players are obliged to consult them on injury and keep them updated, especially before the selectors’ decision on the forthcoming 2010 ICC World Twenty20.
