In a bid to curb player rants on social networking sites like Twitter, the England and Wales Cricket Board has had to take monetary measures.

First Kevin Pietersen was fined for an undisclosed sum of money for leaking out news and his disappointment over being left out for the England Pakistan ODI series. Then Dmitri Mascarenhas went off on the England national selector, Geoff Miller. The latter has now been fined 1000 pounds by the Hampshire Cricket County Club for the expletive outburst.
