If the runs belonged to Sachin Tendulkar and Hashim Amla, there are some equal giants in the bowling department who cannot go unnoticed in Test cricket for 2010.

In a light battle for the top between England's Graeme Swann and South Africa's Dale Steyn, Swann has won the battle by four wickets.

Swann has 64 wickets to his name from 14 matches at an average of 25.56 compared to Steyn who has 60 wickets for 2010 from 11 Test with an average of 21.41 closely followed by James Anderson for the third position on 57 Test wickets with an average of 22.96 from 12 Tests.

While the top three have been fairly predictable, it is delectable from Indian standards and only appropriate that Zaheer Khan should find himself on the list albeit in fifth spot below Morne Morkel.

The younger Morkel brother has 49 wickets from 11 Tests at an average of 24.02 in an indication of Morne's rise in South Africa's aspirations and why he is expected to partner Steyn on more conquests with the new ball.

Zaheer's injuries have not come in the way of his leading the pack for India with 47 wickets in 9 Tests at an average of 21.97. As India establish their hold on the no.1 Test ranking, Zaheer's value was only better emphasized as India won the second Test against South Africa at Kingsmead, Durban.
