West Indies selectors have chosen Marlon Samuels as a specialist right hand batsman ignoring captain Brian Lara's demand for a genuine fast bowler in the 3rd Test against India starting on June 22 in St. Kitts.

The selection panel for the 3rd test retained the same medium-pacers - Ian Bradshaw, Jerome Taylor, Dwayne Bravo, Corey Collymore and Pedro Collins while left-arm spinner Dave Mohammed (who played in the first Test) has been axed.
What remains to be seen is whether the quintet of medium-pacers who failed to impress Indian batsmen in the first two Tests can bother them in the upcoming one in what appears to be yet another batting paradise.
