Africans humiliate India to close the series with nine-wicket win

The day was bright with sun on the top with no moisture in air at New Wanderers Stadium on Sunday where India was taking on SA in its fifth ODI. India won the toss (the very first time in the series) and decided to bat first. However India is the loser soldier in the five ODI series but still it sweated hard to get a grip on the game.

Batting first India could score just 200/9 in full 50 overs. The team saw a single change with inclusion of VVS Laxman who got a chance to join the troop after a long but could do nothing and was hunted on S Pollock's ball. Scahin was the top scorer to score 55 in 97 balls. D. Mongia and MS Dhoni were other two big scorers to score 41(89) and 44(49) respectively. Dhoni played some rash shots with 2 fours and two lofted shots into the crowd but could not survive for longer, offered a catch to Nail on M Ntini's ball, D. Karthik scored 11 on 15 balls. Z, Khan fired one six and one four in his unbeaten 16(10) and wrapped up the show at the total score of 200 at the loss of9 wickets.

In response SA presented a big reshuffle with bringing A de Villiers to the top order and he proved his worth at that place as well with scoring 92 of 98 balls with total 13 over-rope strokes. G. Smith also played a game of captainship with scoring total 79 of 85 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes and got entrapped in the spin of H. Singh. de Villiers and Pollok took the procession to the victory gate and scored 201 for the loss of just one wicket in 31.2 overs.

So in this way Indian lost its fourth ODI too. However Team India had a great chance to score good because they won the toss and could get the advantage of batting first with new shiny and well rolled turf. The ball was coming nicely onto the bat with great bump, even then India could score embarrassing 200.

However the match was a jest procedure as SA had already filed their victory in the series with 3-0, even then they could show a good performance since three match test series is up on the door.

Test series is 11 days ahead and Team India is showing a great come back of Bengal Tiger Ganguly for a long. Hope India will do something better for a change.
