The BCCI are at it again. Trying to ensure that team India has the best chance of retaining the No.1 Test team tag, they are asking for a change in itinerary of Cricket Australia.

Australia are due to play seven ODIs in India. However, the BCCI is requesting that the format be changed such as that the India Australia series sees two Tests and three ODIs so that India have more Tests to compete in and thereby, retain the no.1 tag.
Australia have a series against Pakistan before the Ashes and according to reports from Australia, Cricket Australia may not be against the plan given that they would like more Test experience before the Ashes against England get underway.
The BCCI had earlier changed its stance of no Test matches against South Africa in the original schedule to hastily put together a Test series to ensure team India could play as much as possible.
