Akram Makes it to Hall of Fame, But Shame for Dhoni

Wasim Akram made it the ICC's Hall of Fame but he came down heavily on the Indian captain for the ICC Champions Trophy performance.

Akram was inducted into the prestigious club and while his own contributions have been sterling and he has enjoyed watching Pakistan get to the semi finals, he is feeling let down by India's absence at the final four stage of the ICC tournament in South Africa and is even more angry with the Indian captain.

Stating that he felt that Adam Gilchrist was the best batsman he bowled to, he was equally impressed with Sachin Tendulkar's ability to continue to be a performer.

But Mahendra Singh Dhoni did nothing to enter Wasim Akram's good books. The former Pakistan captain and fast bowler was disappointed by Dhoni's body language as also, his reluctance to talk and reassure his fast bowlers as well as his spinner, Harbhajan Singh.

He felt that there are inspirational leaders like Imran Khan but Dhoni would to do something to get there. He also felt that like Irfan Pathan before, the Indian fast bowling including Ishant Sharma and R.P. Singh were perhaps listening to too many people and thereby, messing up their own game plan and losing pace.

Dhoni and his men can expect more deconstruction in the days to come.
