In an incident not unfamiliar and yet shocking, Andrew Symonds finds himself missing out on an important event, this time being the ICC World Twenty20 in England, after finding himself yet again with a drink in hand, literally.

Andrew Symonds featured in the warm up match against Bangladesh. But that is all he will have participated in in the ICC World Twenty20 in England, the second edition of ICC’s prestigious Twenty20 event.
While Symonds was not in a drunken stupor, the fact that his off field and sometimes on field issues have revolved around his drinking troubles, this violation went against Cricket Australia (CA) and their attempts to rehabilitate their famous or rather infamous all rounder to mend his ways and continue to serve Australia. In keeping with the fact that he failed to comply with their rules, CA decided to let go off Symonds with immediate effect.
Symonds will now have to clear his conscience to the world only after arriving back in Australia. And it will be a long time in front of the television set as he was earlier not announced to be part of the Ashes squad with Australia including the likes of Andrew MacDonald who played against South Africa in the third Test and Shane Watson who has reignited his international cricket career after his IPL stint with Shane Warne and the Rajasthan Royals last year.
Time is running out for Symonds and patience is wearing thin indeed.
