The Asia Cup 2010 has come down to the predictable two. But going into the final, while it would be tempting to say Sri Lanka look settled, there is nothing like a final to fire up. But is India up for this one? After all, they need to change Asia Cup history, stagnant for fifteen years.

Both India and Sri Lanka are four time winners of the Asia Cup but the 2010 final at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium presents a unique proposition - establishing Asian acsendancy ahead of hosting the ICC World CUp 2011. While this will not be the last time these two teams meet, this is a momentous occasion in that it is a multi team event and a final and India will want to justify their higher status in the ODI status with a tournament victory.
Sri Lanka will feel they have the best team possible on the field fit and raring to go. On the contrary, India hae a few injury concerns and with Virender Sehwag ruled out of the contest, Sri Lanka will be counting the positives. There is no telling whether Ashish Nehra will be fully fit if he takes the field but Harbhajan Singh should make the final and that should fire up the troops.
India's unimpressive run in finals is what Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his men wil be hoping to change while Kumar Sangakkara will want his team to show that their consistent efforts are worth yielding result meritorious of it. Pakistan fans may have divided loyalties given their team having to bow out despite some heroics, but no doubt, they will have their mind made up about how the trophy should go to.
It is India and Sri Lanka's opportunity to give the Asia Cup the much need kick. And bring the tournament to a crescendo.
