In a match where Shane Watson top scored with sixty-nine runs after a fruitful partnership of a 100 runs with Shaun marsh, and Cameron White chipping in with fifty-five even as Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Aamer broke Australia's back, Pakistan failed to overhaul the target of 268.
Apart from the Pakistan captain, Mohammad Yousuf (and that seems to have become a familiar line) who stood out in rather stark fashion for his fifty-eight, no other valiant effort was forthcoming from Pakistan.
Wickets tumbled from two down for seven to to six down for fifty-eight when Shahid Afridi departed and it was all over in 37.3 overs as Pakistan were bowled out for 127, a jolting defeat by 140 runs.
