Doug Bollinger's five-four put Australia on top. And while Australia wobbled horribly in their second innings, they are in the driver's seat in the third Test at the WACA, Perth.

After a day of high drama, more was to follow. The third day of the third Test saw West Indies lose the plot after Chris Gayle, the West Indies captain, scored a century the previous evening. Bollinger put the breaks on a greater resurgence, ensuring that the West Indies had no real heroics on the third day and restricted their first innings total to 312, 208 runs behind Australia's first innings total.
But the Australian captain decided to put West Indies under similar pressure again in the match by deciding against enforcing the follow on.
Australia though must thank their stars for the cushion of runs because wickets went down in a heap to reduce Australia to 137 for eight at stumps on the third day, the top scorer being Shane Watson with thirty in his opening position.
Despite West Indies' attempts to come back in to the match with the ball, Sulieman Benn putting the previous day's fracas behind him to take two wickets while Dwayne Bravo pitched in with three, Australia were in the lead by 345 runs with just two wickets in hand.
