England are yet to find any positives in the Southern Hemisphere - the English have been amidst the Kangaroo’s for sometime now but the only ray of hope in the pleasant summer sun that they have found is the delightful return of captain Michael Vaughan, and all else has just been darkness for the visitors down under.collingwoodjpg_54

On the contrary, the Aussies have looked like merciless beasts who would settle for nothing less than a defeat - The Australians have made a flamboyant start to the summer, they have dominated the English for the last good two months of cricket.

If the just concluded Ashes series whitewash wasn’t enough for the Aussies, they came out even heavier in the shortest version of the game - the Aussies displayed a cracker of a batting performance, pilling the highest total in the twenty-twenty version of the game.

The Australians owing to some hefty contributions from Gilchrist, Ponting and some fiery work from Andrew Symonds latter down in the innings helped the Kangaroo’s pile a total of 221/5. England could have made something out of the chase but two wickets in the first two overs sealed the coffin for them, which ultimately saw England succumb 77 run short of the Aussie total.

England desperately requires some motivation to force itself out of the Puddle it presently has got itself stuck in, it is possible only if one or two batsmen can stick on and play a marathon innings, as rightly said by Paul Collingwood. The triangular series beginning in 2 days time will be a litmus test for the Europeans, and it kicks off with an Aussie showdown on Friday.
