Australia are not wasting time trying to plug their problems following the Brisbane Test where England stole the thunder with a dramatic fight back for a draw.

Australia appeared the overwhelming favourites after three days of the first Test of the Ashes 2010 despite the fact that the pitch at the Gabba was a beauty of a batting strip.

However, while Peter Siddle worked his magic in the first innings to produce a mind numbing spell, Australia could not find quite the same inspiration a second time round with Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook holding fort to deny Australia their huge first innings lead.

With Mitchell Johnson struggling to find his niche as Australia's spearhead, Ricky Ponting, the Australian captain, has sparked discussions that Johnson's neck could be on the chopping block as Australia have quickly added Ryan Harris and Doug Bollinger to the second Test squad for Adelaide. The former in particular has impressed the Australian captain himself and could find himself in the reckoning for the second Test.

Australia's Test squad for Second Ashes Test at Adelaide:

Ricky Ponting (c), Michael Clarke (vc), Doug Bollinger, Xavier Doherty, Brad Haddin, Ryan Harris, Mike Hussey, Ben Hilfenhaus, Mitchell Johnson, Simon Katich, Marcus North, Peter Siddle, Shane Watson
