A day after Australia were defeated in a heavy run chase, Australian captain, Michael Clarke, will have a tougher task without two of his men for the third ODI against India.

The final match of the India Australia series will not see Michael Hussey in action because he has already been scheduled to play in the Australian domestic game involving his team in the Sheffield Shield tournament.

Also joining him on the trip back home is Doug Bollinger who has been reported as injured ever since he joined the Australian team for the Test series following his trip to South Africa to play for the Chennai Super Kings in the Champions League Twenty20 2010. It is unclear whether he is carrying the injury from that previous tournament.

Australia's bowling depth, or rather the lack of it, was exposed in the second ODI as Virat Kohli hammered a century and India fought to chase down a mammoth total. Hussey's absence will also create a void given that he shared a crucial partnership with the captain in the same match. Hussey has also been complaining of the workload as a result of Cricket Australia forcing him to play for CSK despite the upcoming Test series, suggesting it was the remuneration behind boards that forced him, leading to much controversy back in Australia.
