Australian Coach says Australia Can Regain No.1 Test position in Six Months

The Australian coach, Tim Nielsen, feels there is plenty of cricket in the next six months, and it gives his team the opportunity to regain the no.1 Test team spot which currently belongs to India.

Nielsen felt Australia has good chances of making it back to the top with the Test series against Pakistan in England, India and India and the Ashes down under to follow, "That gives us a great opportunity and if we are playing well enough in the Ashes, it will give us the opportunity to regain the No.1 position. It is not something we talk much about, but if we worry about playing the cricket we can play, that will take care of the rest of it. So, over the next little while we have to make sure we get all of our squad players right and if we do that, we are a real chance."

The Australian coach had better be wary. The last time the coach spoke publicly of Australia's expectations and his goal of a whitewash in the NatWest series ODIs against England, Australia lost the series.
