The floods have plunged Australia into a new low and for some players such as Watson, they are truly beginning to realize how cricket has been a rallying force as something as big as a national and natural tragedy has affected the nation.

Word has it that Shane Warne and Michael Vaughan, both former cricketers, are keenly interested in organized a legends Twenty20 match to help generate the necessary funds, once again bringing to the fore the responsibilities that go with cricketers who are looked upon as celebrities and role models whose behaviour and efforts can impact the society at large.
