Shiv Sena issued a threat that the Australian cricketers would not be allowed to play on Mumbai soil or anywhere in Maharashtra following the racial attacks on Indian students in Australia.
But the Australian cricketers have want their own independent counsel to assess the security issue which is apparently not being entertained by the IPL organizers. The security issue may well cost the Australians the opportunity to participate in the IPL 3 and they may well have to forgo their hefty pay cheques if their concerns are something the IPL cannot address or they do not feel adequately covered.
The last time the security concerns blew out of proportion with the Lok Sabha elections to warrant the IPL 2 to be taken out of India and to South Africa.
