Even as the PCB is doing everything in its power to ensure India does not get in the way of Sri Lanka’s tour to Pakistan literally and figuratively speaking, the BCCI is non committal on the proposed one day series between Sri Lanka and India.

While PCB has expressed fears that Sri Lanka may be cutting short its itinerary in order to accommodate a five one day international series against India, the BCCI has decided that there will be formally approaching the Sri Lanka Cricket board till their own schedule with India’s tour to New Zealand is finalized.
India had earlier sought an additional Test in addition to the two Tests, five one day internationals and a Twenty20 match proposed in the original itinerary. That however is yet to be ratified by the cricket board in New Zealand. The BCCI has, therefore, decided that no formal proposal would be pitched to Sri Lanka until the itinerary with New Zealand is fixed and has therefore refused to comment on the informal discussions.
Sri Lanka meanwhile has assured Pakistan that it is not ignoring the proposed tour to Pakistan while waiting for India to give their approval. Sri Lanka have had plans to tour Pakistan for the one day internationals and then, go back home to the hosts the similar contest with India and then, revisit Pakistan for the Test matches.
