While the Indian captain was collecting his MCC membership, the Indian off spinner was forced to twiddle his thumbs for want of a ticket to leave for Sri Lanka.

Harbhajan Singh found himself waiting for clearance after he found without a valid ticket to enter the Chennai airport. But the matter was sorted out, apparently within the hour, and all was well again in Bhajji's world as the Indian team left for Sri Lanka.
On the other hand, Mahendra Singh Dhoni was in Chennai with his new bride, Sakshi Rawat, as he was honoured with the membership of the Madras Cricket Club.
Addressing the media from Chepauk, Dhoni expressed his delight, "I am extremely happy and privileged to be a member of this historic age-old club, which has an history of supporting games and sport. I cherish happy memories of this venue (Chepauk) where I made my Test debut in 2005."
The MCC honorary membership is given only to select people at the 164 year old institution. In the past these have included Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar, Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupathi, Viswanathan Anand and Chennai-born former England captain Nasser Hussain.
Dhoni eventually flew in a day later than the squad.
