Two New Zealand cricketers are not seeing eye to eye, although both are vying for a spot in the IPL 3!

Shane Bond and Chris Cairns were involved in the ICL (Indian Cricket League), the 'rebel' Twenty20 league, before terminating ties. Now both have thrown their names into the hat for the IPL 3 auctions, although the name of one has taken all by surprise.
The thirty-nine year old all rounder's urge to enter the mainstream Twenty20 has prompted the fast bowler to comment on the unusual situation. Cairns may be only one of seven cricketers in the world to take 200 wickets and 3000 runs, but his name was apparently entered by his agent.
It is a situation that baffles Bond because in his opinion, Cairns has not played enough to become eligible for the format. There appears more than what meets the eye. But even New Zealand cricket seem to be distancing themselves from the decision of the all rounder.
Cairns did not enjoy a smooth ride in the ICL either. He was suspended along with Dinesh Mongia on disciplinary causes even as the cloud of match fixing appeared to rear its ugly head.
