Every one seems to be on the case of Mitchell Johnson including former Australian captain, Allan Border. Even as Johnson refuses to name mom as reason for his failings on the field, Border wants Johnson to take a break.

Border wants Johnson to take the decision to sit out for a week, not play any international cricket (which would mean the third Test of the Ashes in Edgbaston effectively) and simply concentrate on bowling fifteen overs in the nets.
Border feels that this will help Johnson find his rhythm in the absence of the pressure of performing in a Test scenario where conceding runs can unnerve the bowler. Mitchell Johnson has faced tremendous pressure in the last eight ten months over taking over the spearhead’s role from Brett Lee. While he has performed exceedingly well during that time, he has lost his momentum in the Ashes, resulting in an embarrassing display at Lord’s in the second Test, calling for his head on the chopping block.
Meanwhile, Johnson has stated that while he was not happy over personal affairs that have seen him estranged from his mother, he hoped that she would still be an integral presence at his wedding to Jessica Bratich which he states has been planned for May, 2010. However, he has refused to blame his mother for the fiasco that has become his bowling.
