First it was the members of the Brabourne stadium and the CCI club in Mumbai that opposed hosting the IPL under what they termed "unreasonable" conditions. Now it appears the IPL organizers have run into similar troubles in Cape Town.

The Western Province Cricket Association is holding emergency meetings to sort out issues related to ticket pricing and beverage rights. The problem has stemmed from the association's objections to laying "unreasonable" restrictions and rules on their members, who happen to be sponsors with lucrative financial incentives for the province.
They are no in mood to disappoint their Western Cape cricket fans and are hence, working to achieve a mutual compromise on issues that will not affect their local team interests. As problems seek to be sorted out, the Rajasthan Royals team will play the Cape Cobras in a warm up tie later this evening. The IPL organizers will hope the tournament will pass just as smoothly as the warm up game would.
