In an exchange of sorts, Tim Bresnan will take Ajmal Shahzad's place in the England squad for the first Test in Nottingham against Pakistan.

Bresnan lost his place in the team through poor form and injury and ironically injury to a fellow bowler sees him return to the England team for the Test series against Pakistan.
Shahzad was named alongside Steven Finn, however, an ankle injury is causing him discomfort and he will now be rested to be fit for the second Test.
