Broad: Not Playing IPL was Good for Me

Stuart Broad, the Ashes hero of the Oval, has stated that keeping his focus has helped me achieve his dad's achievements.

Broad, who wants to emulate Glen McGrath, believes by not playing in the IPL, he has helped himself to stay on target with being able and fit to take on the role of being the architect of England's victory.

His words come on the heels on Mitchell Johnson who also shunned the IPL at the peak of his short career but has badly lapsed in the Ashes.

However, Broad does not rule out the possibility of playing in a future IPL series, provided his commitment to the England team is not compromised.
