The Australians need not be worried just yet. John Buchanan's role with the England and Wales Cricket Board is a pending matter for want of funds.

The former Australian coach was in England last week to reprise his role as consultant with the England cricket team with an eye on the Ashes down under later this year.
However, his second stint with the England team has been thrown in limbo after the ECB have expressed their inability to pay him for his services. It is unclear if the sum was negotiated but Buchanan claims that the ECB have informed him out of their stringent budget woes in light of the Olympics 2012 and the state of the economy around the world and in England.
Buchanan will only know after a few days whether his input will be required or rather can be afforded or not.
