Chennai Super Kings put up a terrific display of determination and clinical appraisal as they were crowned winners of the Champions League Twenty20 2010 in South Africa.

Batting first, the Warriors lost their way after the fall of their captain, David Jacobs, who has been in scintillating fashion right through the tournament. And while he was at the crease, CSK's opening bowlers struggled.
But the tide changed once R. Ashwin trapped Jacobs in front for thirty-four, and thereafter, Ashwin and Muttiah Muralitharan laid a trap through a miserly spell that yielded five wickets against the Warriors who struggled to break free on a pitch that had considerably slowed down.

Craig Thyssen tried to inject some life into the innings with twenty-five that allowed Warriors to creep to 128, in a match that defied Twenty20 stereotype.

Batting second for the very first time in the tournament, Chennai had the bankable Murali Vijay leading the way, steadily with fifty-eight runs while Michael Hussey made a half century himself, Chennai losing just one wicket to win the game comprehensively.
