India's Home Minister is not backing down from stomping any thoughts that the Government of India was in anyway trying to undermine the IPL.

P. Chidambaram has refuted the threats from political outfits such as a Shiv Sena and has promised security cover to those cricketers from Australia and Pakistan who are scheduled to participate in the IPL 3 season in March.
There have been angry reactions against those that shown empathy with the cause of the Pakistan cricketers and also, against the Australian cricketers over the racist attacks in Indians in Australia.
Even as the IPL Chairman and Commissioner, Lalit Modi, has refused to directly address the players bodies, he remains optimistic of an uninterrupted IPL in 2010.
