For a second day running, the team from the host country enjoyed a good day in the field as the Warriors beat Sri Lanka's Wayamba Elevens in the second match of the Champions League Twenty20 2010 at St. Georges Park, Port Elizabeth in South Africa.

Rusty Theron developed a reputation for being a wicket taker in the minds of IPL viewers and he continued that trend that affected the Wayamba charge.

Theron dismissed the highly experienced Mahela Jayawardene and Mahela Udawatte, leaving Wayamba diffident at 2/2 at the end of the first over. Jeevantha Kulatunga kept the Wayamba Elevens going, sharing a sixty run partnership with Kushal Perera that helped Wayamba get as far as 153 for nine after twenty overs, Kulatunga having fifty-nine innings defying runs that included three sixes. Makhaya Ntini picked up two wickets to Theron's two even though the former was expensive.
The Warriors innings was a relative contrast in that they kept building partnerships and momentum with the trio of Colin Ingram, Justin Kreusch, and Mark Boucher played decisive knocks to roll over the team from Sri Lanka. While Ingram and Kreusch was important to keep the Warriors within touching distance, Boucher used his reputation to good effect, hammering an unbeaten forty run innings from only twenty-six balls. Wayamaba were beaten by seven wickets in their first encounter while Warriors finished on a high.
