Guyana carried the burden of emulating Trindad and Tobago from the last edition. But if first impressions are last impressions, Guyana are in big trouble after their no-show against the red hot Royal Challengers Bangalore in the second Sunday encounter at Supersport Park Centurion in the Champions League Twenty20 2010 in South Africa.

There was nothing to write home about as far as Guyana were concerned because their innings was really a pathetic excuse for a Twenty20 match. The RCB, on the contrary, seemed determined and purposeful and went about clinically dissecting their opponents to devastating effect.
No partnerships, no substance and no excitement would be how once would describe the Guyana batting effort as wickets kept tumbling in heaps. While the Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers generally shared the spoils, Jacques Kallis stood out for his three wickets but also, for getting rid of the Guyana captain, Ramnaresh Sarwan for only seven runs.
At that stage, Guyana were two down for thirty-four but the comeback was never on the cards as they kept slipping further and futher down, from four for forty-nine to seven for seventy-five as Kallis dismissed two wickets in the sixteenth over, including that of the much hyped Jonathan Foo.
Chasing a mediocre 103, Royal Challengers Bangalore did not find the going difficult in any manner. Rahul Dravid, whose dropped catch earlier seemed to have no effect on his team, let his batting speak for him in the company of Kallis as the duo went about deflating the team from the West Indies further. Thirty-three runs for Dravid and forty-three runs from thirty-two balls later, the RCB team had won the match emphatically by nine wickets.
