The Victoria Bushrangers did not even have a chance against the New South Wales who did everything right from winning the toss in the first semi final of the Champions League Twenty20 in New Delhi.

NSW Blues got off to a flying start with David Warner and Phil Hughes in a punishing mood against their Australian counterparts. With the Bushrangers unable to rein in the partnership, they were set on the backfoot from the very beginning.
Warner's forty-eight runs from from twenty-five balls and Hughes' thirty-five runs from twenty-eight balls did not give the Bushrangers a chance to scent victory. The follow up from Daniel Smith and NSW captain, Simon Katich meant that Bushrangers were not surprised to find their chase extended to 169 runs, a lot more than they would have liked on a pitch that not too many teams would have put faith in.
Thereafter, the Bushrangers were blown away with a three down for six scoreline. Rob Quiney and Brad Hodge both fell to the introduction of spin by way of Nathan Hauritz at the start while Aiden Blizzard was removed by Brett Lee. Matthew Wade top scored with twenty-three runs but the Bushrangers needed a lot more to reignite their engine that stalled from the start.
