Lalit Modi has kept up on his promise and is suing Giles Clarke for the allegations made that led to the second show cause notice from the BCCI.

The suspended IPL Chairman and Commissioner is suing the England and Wales Cricket Board ( ECB ) chairman, Giles Clarke, for making allegations that Modi was planning a Twenty20 league a la IPL in a conspiracy with the County teams without the knowledge of the ECB.

Modi is giving Clarke seven days to respond, while tendering an unconditional apology and a retraction. Modi is also expected to demand compensation for having to work the details through his lawyers not only for the defamation suit but also, in responding to the second show cause notice issued by the BCCI as a direct result of the allegations made by Clarke.
