CT Semi Final 1 Fifteen Overs: Australia Have the Mark on England

--> -->

Injuries have not been kind to England. Neither has their recent record. Being two wickets down within the first five overs is not an ideal start either at Centurion in South Africa.

England have found themselves in a bit of crossroads situation at three down for eighty-six at the fifteen over mark, having lost England captain, Andrew Strauss, Owais Shah for naught (Brett Lee and Peter Siddle doing the early honours for Australia) to be reduced to two for sixteen after England won the toss and decided to bat first.

Joe Denly has been holding up the end and guard for England, batting on thirty-three even as England lost Paul Collingwood batting on thirty-four to Mitchell Johnson.

But England have been struck by injuries even as they attempt to erase the horrid memories of the NatWest Series. The first of the two ICC Champions Trophy semi finals would be the perfect opportunity to extract some form of revenge but England have been forced to make three changes - bringing in Tim Bresnan and Graham Onions for Ryan Sidebottom and Stuart Broad who has torn his buttock muscle and Steve Davies for the virus hit Matt Prior.

For Australia, their injury alert has not been too astounding. Michael Clarke has been replaced by David Hussey but Australia have not needed to bring any one else in other than those that have played in the tournament thus far.

For now, England are scoring well. But have they lost too many wickets or will this be the day for the young guns such as Joe Denly and Eoin Morgan to shine for the Queen?
