New Zealand are coming out of a horror show not unlike Sri Lanka. Can they change the script at the ICC Champions Trophy in South Africa?

New Zealand were beaten comprehensively in the tri series, the Compaq Cup in Sri Lanka, that also involved India, the ultimate victors. New Zealand simply could not getting their batting strategy together including getting partnerships going, a key factor that New Zealand captain, Daniel Vettori, hopes to turn around in South Africa.
It is not as if New Zealand do not have the talent in batting. In the likes of Ross Taylor, Martin Guptill, Jesse Ryder, Grant Elliot. Their bowling has been strengthened by the return of ex-ICL cricketers, Shane Bond and Daryll Tuffey. Now it is up to the team to join all those forces together if they are to be a force to be reckoned with in South Africa and leave the ghost in Sri Lanka behind.
