Sourav Ganguly may have retired from international cricket in the home series against Australia last year but it has not stopped him from being headline news. Now he is in the spotlight once more over new ambitions, perhaps more challenging even.

Sourav Ganguly, who turns thirty-seven years of age today, has expressed ambitions of representing cricket in an administrative role now that he has retired from international cricket and only plays in the IPL for the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Ganguly lost his captaincy in controversial circumstances in the IPL 2 in South Africa as former Australian coach John Buchanan headed coaching matters in Shah Rukh Khan's KKR team. He was last seen doing a stint of commentary from the studio in the ICC World Twenty20 in England.
Now he has stated that he wants to do more for the game, but from a position as President of the CAB (Cricket Association of Bengal).
Should Ganguly, India's most successful captain, succeed in this new role, it could also mean the possibility of becoming the president of the BCCI in 2014, as per BCCI's rotational policy.
