There are momentous sporting events that bring out some of the most unusual, unexpected stars. Something like that happened when the original Baywatch 'hero', David Hasselhoff, aka 'the Hoff', presented himself in front of the SCG crowds on the second day of the fifth Test of the Ashes 2010.

Hasselhoff may have had shared plenty of screen space with Pamela Anderson and wowed audiences in the Knight Rider series that rivalled Street Hawk in the hey days of the eighties, however, cricket is apparently still an alien sport to him considering he though Shane Warne was being soft to him in the nets.
Not content with hurting fellow Australian and Hollywood actor, Hugh Jackman, in the nets, Warne strutted his stuff for fans as Hasselhoff faced off. However, Hasselhoff apparently thought 'the fast bowler' was going soft on him and insisted on facing pacier stuff.
However, Hasselhoff was clearly ruled out as a prospect for Australia's bleak cricket fortunes in present times with an illegal bowling action and inability to cite the difference between pace and spin! Oh well, there's always Dancing with the Stars...again.
