Australia's hard hitting batsman has hit out at the England and Wales Cricket Board for shielding young fast bowler, Steven Finn, instead of honing in his skills.

The ECB clouded the decision to prevent Finn's exposure to the Australian cricket team before the Ashes with the decision to put him through strength and conditioning training.

However, David Warner believes the decision could backfire because in his opinion, Finn should have getting as much match experience as possible and by doing this, England were throwing him off rhythm.

He is quoted as saying that England may as well "wrap him (Finn) up in cotton wool," on England's decision not to play Finn in the recently concluded NatWest Series that England won by a margin of 3-2.
