Dean Jones does not believe he did the Rajasthan Cricket Association any disservice through his comments. Instead he refers to Shane Warne in the same breath as Sachin Tendulkar and why he feels Warne needs respect.

Even as Shane Warne is facing charges over publicly disrespecting a RCA official, Dean Jones was forced to clean up his words following the threat of similar criminal proceedings against him. Jones is in trouble once more over his on air comments, this time with a news television in what he describes as a misinterpretation of words.
Dean Jones clarified that he did not say
RCA kissing Shane Warne's feet
but rather that
please kiss Shane Warne's feet
This time though he did not leave room for misinterpretation by using the analogy of Sachin Tendulkar's status amongst cricket fans, particularly in India. He explained that just as Sachin Tendulkar was revered as God, Shane Warne has been a huge influence on cricket and on people like him, a cricketing God being the exact words he used.
Dean Jones was speaking on behalf of Warne in that regard, suggesting that Warne should have been feted instead of derided in the several negative reports coming out from the IPL 4 which incidentally is the last time the forty-one year will seen in cricket gear on the cricket field given that Warne has announced his retirement, rather it was leaked by his current girlfriend, Liz Hurley, at the end of the IPL 4 season with the Rajasthan Royals team.
While Jones may be justified in his stance towards garnering respect for Warne, perhaps he will rethink his choice of words in the future given that twice it has landed him in serious trouble. But will Professor Deano reform?
