Former Australian fast bowler, Dennis Lillee, believes that looking good has perhaps taken precedence which is why the Australians fast bowlers are breaking down.

While the latest inductee into the ICC Hall of Fame did not discount the fact that too much cricket could be the reason why the likes of Brett Lee, Peter Siddle, Ben Hilfenhaus and Stuart Clark are on the injury list, he also thinks that perhaps the fault lies in the training.
Lillee, who was seen cheering the West Indies captain, Chris Gayle, while the latter made his century in the third Test in Perth, was irked by the fact that the Australians players seemed to be focussed more on the beach body look rather than developing the core muscles needed to bowl fast.
Thrilled to watch Kemar Roach give it his all, Lillee felt that his thoughts emanate from the fact that there are no injuries such as those to the back as traditionally seen among bowlers but rather 'soft' injuries.
Lillee would have also watched with interest the confrontation between Sulieman Benn and Brad Haddin with Mitchell Johnson. He himself was involved in an ugly on field confrontation when he appeared to have kicked the shin of Pakistan's Javed Miandad who retaliated by threatening to hit the Australian fast bowler with his bat.
