He is a better captain, who is always concerned about the welfare of his team,he is concerned about his fast bowlers when he says that playing a crammed calender of cricket is getting extremely tiring.As per him it is important for a player to decide when his body cannot take more of the strain as they themselves only know their body.
He himself had opted out of three test series in Srilanka after he had played straight for 18 months comprising of 14 tests,56 ODI's and 8 Twenty20 and high voltage IPL.
For him at this stage earning money is not a criteria any more.Unlike many others he is satisfied with what he has made so far and thinks it is enough for him since he does not want to buy a chartered plane or airlines.That is Dhoni for you .
Dhoni is leading Chennai Super Kings in inaugural Champions league from 3-10 December,but he is ready to give up that if he has to play the Ahmadabad match against England on 11 Dec.For him Team India will always comes first.
Now as per news coming in Dhoni has offered to resign he has once again proved himself to be a fabulous Human Being. He is apparently livid at media leak of his displeasure at the composition of team in which R P Singh is being axed. He says he has nothing against Irfan Pathan but with the rumours of his resignation floating around he has to get into contact with both Irfan and R P Singh to explain his side. He is a just captain and does not want to take sides saying, R P Singh should not feel that Dhoni will go out of way for him and Irfan should not feel that he is not wanted in the team.
Unnecessary dilemma just because one person attending the crucial meeting decided to leak out the details of a confidential meeting.
It is time that the selectors who always are at loggerheads with the current captain about the selection of team emulate Dhoni and the one who leaked out the details of this meeting to media should own up his mistake,for the simple reason with the 4th match looming up it is time for the whole team to be free of useless controversies especially the captain.
After all M.S. Dhoni the captain has to once again lead the team to another spectacular win.
