Going directly against the statements made by Chetan Chauhan, the Indian captain has finally spoken out.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni defied the DDCA vice president's comments that Dhoni wanted the play to go on at the Ferozeshah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi in the fifth ODI against Sri Lanka.
Dhoni told the media that the decision to abandon the match after twenty-three overs was a decision made together by the match referee, Alan Hurst, in consultation with the Sri Lankan captain, Kumar Sangakkara and himself.
Dhoni also stated that this was the only match abandoned that he was involved and he did feel that the pitch was not up to the mark for an international game.
