There will be one bright sparkle when cricket gets underway at Chennai tomorrow as crickets salutes a local man's sterling efforts.

According to news reports, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, skipper of the Indian cricket team, will be felicitating the World's Chess Champions, India's very own Vishwanathan Anand tomorrow in Chennai as India take on England in the two Test series.

The commendation is expected to be followed by a one carat diamond ring worth five lakh rupees to be presented to Anand by team India. It is in view of Anand conquering all three formats of knock out, round robin and match play as he went on to win his third title beginning with 2001 and in 2007 and now in 2008.
A rare combination of sports, one commending another, is expected to add a little more light on a day expected to be gloomy, only because of the weather.
