Did Virender Sehwag know that the pitch in Delhi would pose such a severe problem? It would appear so, after all he is the local lad.

The Nawab of Najafgarh failed to see the funny side of it when talking about the unpredictable pitch at the Ferozeshah Kotla in New Delhi.
Sehwag is said to have said that India was glad to have sealed the series against Sri Lanka 3-1 in Kolkata in the fourth ODI because he was unsure what the pitch at the Kotla would offer and India would not have want to have taken a chance in leaving the door open for the fifth and final ODI.
Now it appears Sehwag who has achieved his early cricket acumen in Delhi was clearly uncomfortable playing in his own backyard.
Surely he did not anticipate drama of this degree with the pitch being declared unfit.
