Donald in the Market for India's Next Bowling Coach

Allan Donald aka White Lightning could soon be India's bowling coach and Sreesanth has perhaps proved to be his vehicle.

The former South African fast bowler has expressed interest in taking up the position left vacant by the abrupt sacking of Venkatesh Prasad as bowling coach in October last year.

Sreesanth made his comeback into the Indian team recently and he attributed his comeback in no small measure to the mentoring by AD during the latter's stint with Warwickshire.

Donald has been involved with the bowling of the England team as well, and it is little wonder then that he is interested in joining hands with a fellow South African - Gary Kirsten is the coach of the Indian team - if the BCCI do decide to get his signature on the dotted line as it were.

Donald has apparently had a word already with a BCCI official regarding the same while in India for the commentary during the inaugural Champions League Twenty20.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni's prayers may soon be answered, ideally before South Africa come to India for the tour which will not only sharpen the skills of the Indian bowlers (in desperate need of it) but also, provide some insight into the South African team as well.
