After Adrian Barath and Carlton Baugh, it would seem West Indies are facing a jinx in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 as Dwayne Bravo now has a knee injury that renders his services redundant for his team in the competition.

It will be tricky for West Indies to take a call on this latest injury, sustained during the West Indies v South Africa match as Bravo was bowling and hurt his left knee. Dwayne Bravo had to be helped off his feet and escorted off the field with concerns over medical scans.
Dreading the worst, it would now appear that Darren Bravo's half brother will not be playing any of the matches in the run up to the business end of the tournament, which makes it tough for the West Indies because not only will they have to decide whether to choose a replacement or keep Bravo in their squad but also, will have to go through the competition without the all rounder's services which is a huge dent, given the level of his contribution.
West Indies have already lost Adrian Barath who has been likened to Brian Lara and Carlton Baugh's injury have forced on a temporary wicket keeper. This injury for Bravo so early into the tournament puts the West Indies in an already tough position given that their performances over the years have dipped and they could use all the talent they have at their disposal.
As it turns out, Darren Bravo will have to reprise his role in light of this latest trouble for the team from the Caribbean islands. It will certainly not be an easy proposition for the West Indies, but if this latest setback can get themselves to see their task in the proper light and take on greater responsibility, there could be a few problems for the teams they face.
