Former ICC President, Ehsan Mani, has referred to the entire Indian sub continent being vulnerable to terror in the region and therefore, unfit to host the 2011 ICC World Cup.

In a conversation that is likely to impact at a time when India is reeling from the double blow of the Pune blast and the Maoist attack, this will not be pleasant.
Mani has stated that the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi in October will be the litmus test for deciding whether the Indian subcontinent is capable of hosting the 2011 ICC World Cup.
He raised the issue of India using its financial clout once more stating, "The subcontinent region these days is a dangerous, unstable and problematic. But due to India’s financial muscle and leverage, they will keep pushing for hosting the World Cup and foreign teams will continue to ignore until any serious major security incident is not occurred."
He touched upon Pakistan's wish to swap the two World Cups, so that Australia could host the 2011 edition while the Indian sub continent could host the 2015 ICC World Cup.
