In another embarrassing incident for the ICC, the second Test between England and West Indies at the Viv Richards Stadium in St. John's, Antigua, was declared a farce within the first ten balls being bowled.

In a bizarre twist to the tale that should have had the ICC as well as the domestic WICB look into the pitch matters before scheduling the pitch at the ground, the series will now likely to be converted from a four Test series to a five Test series.
This would mean the second Test will be declared as abandoned over an unfit pitch that had too much sand in the outfield to hamper and potentially injure the bowlers in their run up. The third Test will now be staged at the ARG, the Antigua Recreation Ground, though similar problems about an underprepared pitch could crop up there as well.
The England players were not willing to write off a Test after the debacle that was Jamaica and it would now virtually mean back to back Tests with the third Test scheduled to begin on Sunday.
